It was a great fight for the victory in 68th Rally Poland. Till the end of Zalesie 2 stage, the battle for the win was between Kajetan Kajetanowicz (Subaru Impreza) and Michal Solowow (Ford Fiesta S2000). After covering over 200 kilometres of special stages the margin between two drivers was only 3,3 sec. Finally it was Kajetanowicz who triumphed in the event. It was a second win in row in Rally Poland for Ustron based driver. Second overall Michal Solowow scored maximum points for the European Rally Championship classification. Third overall was Grzegorz Grzyb (Peugeot 207 S2000).
Rally Poland’s tradition has been maintained and the event was won by group N car driver. For Kajetanowicz it was eight victory in the Polish Rally Championship. For the third time in a row Michal Solowow won the rally in the ERC classification.
Michal Bebenek (Mitsubishi Lancer Evo X) had big hopes to repeat his success from 2008 season. The Platinum Rally Team driver was an event’s leader after Day 1. However, the cleaning surface factor decided Bebenek lost valuable time and finally dropped to fourth place. He lost third position to Grzegorz Grzyb for whom it was the first gravel rally in a S2000 car.
68th Rally Poland took its toll. During the second day of competition Krzysztof Holowczyc (Subaru Impreza) had two punctures an dropped to eleventh place. Maciej Oleksowicz (Ford Fiesta S2000) had an accident. The same bad luck touched Maciej Rzeznik (Peugeot 207 S2000). Michal Kosciuszko had a puncture, rolled his Mitsubishi Lancer Evo X in the penultimate test and decided to retire.
After 68th Rally Poland there is a change in the leader board of the European Rally Championship classification. Two times winner of the series, Luca Rossetti (Abarth Grande Punto S2000) elevated to the first position.

Yes! We did it! We've been waiting for it the whole year. This rally was more difficult for our minds than from technical side. We are very happy.

It was difficult rally, but we are glad with the points for the second place in the ERC classification. Thanks to that we are leading ERC again. We would like to thank out sponsors and also Fiat Auto Poland for big help.
Krzysztof Holowczyc/Lukasz Kurzeja (Subaru Impreza)
At the end we just had a lot of fun. But of course it was also part of preparations for Rally Dakar. We had bad luck with the punctures.
